Punt away
By Sandra Kelly on Tue, Sep 30, 2008
Idaho punter T.J. Conley came to Idaho from Walla Walla wanting to play Division I football.
He was signed out of DeSales as a quarterback, but quickly became a standout punter for the Vandals.
He started as Idaho’s punter in 2005, but broke his leg. After recovering, he spent time as a backup QB, but has always been a punter.
It would be easy to think that Conley is disappointed in his position, but the senior civil engineering student has a great attitude and has been looked at by NFL scouts.
