The Idaho women looked great against Eastern Washington Tuesday night.

The Vandals won 80-70, but more importantly, they were aggressive right from the start, they played with confidence and you can see the success they are having with some of their new plays.

They were a fun team to watch.

The Idaho men lost to EWU on Monday, again suffering from a slow start.

Coach Don Verlin seems to have a good handle on the situation. At his conference today he said he’s not accustomed to losing and he doesn’t want his team to get comfortable with it, either.

The Vandals were given a 38-hour break - well deserved after five games in 11 days including stints in Michigan and Spokane.

Both teams have work to do, but things are getting back on track in the Idaho basketball world.

It’s going to be a fun winter.
