Cougar offseason

The offseason has begun for Washington State coach Paul Wulff and his team.

Seven of Wulff’s assistants have already hit the recruiting trail, while Wulff is back in Pullman where he will be meeting one-on-one with all of his players through Wednesday.

Wulff plans to make it clear what he expects of his team in the offseason. No. 1 will be weight training and conditioning. It was painfully obvious this season that his team wasn’t strong enough in the trenches and needs to put on weight and get stronger.

Wulff said he expects that the combination of offseason training and one year of experience should make for a much better team next season.

For more on the offseason, read my article in Tuesday’s paper.
