Big weekend for Vandal men

This Saturday and Sunday the Idaho men close out the pre-Christmas season hosting Texas Southern and Washington State.

It would be easy for the Vandals to look past Texas Southern, a team that’s 0-10 and lost to Gonzaga 81-42 on Thursday. But that would be silly. Texas Southern has played No. 5 Texas tough - twice - in the last week and with a full days rest, they could easily come into Cowan focused. Idaho will have to be at its best.

On Sunday the Vandals host WSU. It’s a game every Vandal has been aware of since the schedule came out, and though the Cougs will be tough, it will also be a great test for a young, explosive Idaho team.

Many Idaho students will be gone for the holiday break, which means alumni and supporters will have to make even more of an effort to brave the roads and take in a pair of great games.

The Texas Southern game is set for 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday’s battle with WSU will be played at 5 p.m.
