Soggy spring

Spring on the Palouse is tough.

A lot of teams in the area have been making the trip to Lewiston because all the softball fields, baseball fields and soccer fields are up to the brim in mud.

The prep sports season has been underway for two weeks now, but it hardly seems like it because everyone keeps moving their games to sunnier locations. I never thought I’d think of Lewiston as a sunnier location.

I’m planning  on taking in the Moscow-Pullman baseball game at the WSU field today. I’m not sure if it’s going to happen or not, but it might.

If we all think good, warm, sunny thoughts maybe things will dry out and we can get a first-hand look at how our local teams really are. There’s nothing wrong with Lewiston, but I’d sure like to have our home teams playing at home under sunny skies.
