When will it end?

Mother Nature - 5,123, Palouse teams playing at home - 0.

Ok, so there have been a few teams that have been able to get a home game or two in, but not many.

The spring sports season has been brutal in terms of getting to play at home. Soccer, softball, baseball and track have been altered considerably because of the weather, and many coaches are beginning to wonder if they will ever have the chance to play in front of their fans.

The Colfax softball coach said it will take a week of 70-80 degree weather and 40 mph winds to get the field into playing shape, but admitted he can only imagine the 40 mph winds.

The Pullman baseball team managed to get a couple of games in, but only because they were able to play on the WSU fields.

Neither Moscow teams have been able to play at home, and most teams are either making theĀ  trip to Lewiston to play or they are rescheduling.

The only predictable thing about spring is its unpredictability.

Good luck getting a home game Palouse teams - the Daily News staff is ready to see you play - we just hope we get the chance.
