Babycheapskate.com update

Money

Yesterday I posted about Babycheapskate.com, a great site for parents to find good deals.

I posted that some things on the site were likely paid advertising — writing rave reviews for money is a growing and controversial practice among “mommy bloggers.”  (Here’s an Associated Press article about the trend.)

I was wrong about this site.

Angie at Babycheapskate helpfully informed me that her site is not among those that recommend products in exchange for cash or products.

Now, I don’t mind a mom picking up a little extra cash through blogging, but I prefer to see it marked clearly as advertising.

Moms like Angie, who find and promote deals unfettered, are the best resources for honest-to-goodness great deals.

Just one more reason to check out Babycheapskate.com!
