Off and running

Fall camp is fun - at least for those not running  and doing up-downs.

The last two days the Vandals have been doing all the normal things, and they look pretty good.

Some folks out there are freaking out and that’s a shame. Enjoy the season.

Idaho will win games this year. They probably won’t win the conference title, but they will be exciting to watch and they will surprise a lot of people.

After two days I know this - the Vandals are bigger and faster and at first glance, more  disciplined. All three things were lacking last year.

The Vandals were picked by the media to fail - I picked them fifth. I’m sure my boss is laughing at this, but with a couple breaks I think they will be in the middle of the pack. Really.

This will be an exciting team to watch. The Vandals finally have some depth, especially at running back and wide receiver, and the lines look big.

The first two days of camp were without pads, so I haven’t seen a lot from the linemen, but I have watched one-on-one drills and they look big - but there’s certainly work to be done.

Anyone needing a little entertainment should venture down during  one-on-ones and watch Mike Iupati and Jonah Sataraka go at each other. It’s a great battle.

It’s fall again and I’m excited and looking forward to not only football, but soccer and volleyball as well.

Wake up Vandal fans, it’s time  to go to work.
