Second football scrimmage today
By Sandra Kelly on Wed, Aug 19, 2009
I thought things went rather well at Idaho’s first scrimmage last week.
Both quarterbacks had good showings and the kicking game was great.
I also thought the defensive backs had a strong start.
Today Idaho holds its second scrimmage of fall camp and I’m looking forward to a couple of things.
First of all, the lines. I honestly think the O-line and D-line will make or break the Vandals’ season.
The other thing I’m really looking forward to is watching Daniel Hardy at tight end.
Hardy has had an impressive fall camp. He’s also bigger than last year and looks ready to take over the No. 1 TE spot.
Peter jorvik also a tight end, and the junior from Oregon has also done some nice things.
Both tight ends have put up big blocks and both have come up big catches. It seems like a great battle brewing.
It will also be good to see how the quarterbacks respond.
Both have had good camps and both seem comfortable with the Idaho offense. If nothing else, it’s great to have depth.
The scrimmage is set to start at 2:30 p.m. in front of the Kibibe Dome.
