Ready to begin

When football’s fall camp began I was excited to see what the guys had to offer.

Now I’m ready for the season to begin - never satisfied I guess.

Here’s what I like so far:

- The depth, power and speed at running back.

- The receivers look faster and stronger and are actually ripping balls away from the defense.

- I like the competition between quarterbacks Nate Enderle and Brian Reader. Either could start and both look strong, quick and in control.

- I like the offensive line. They seem in sync with everything and they look quick and powerful.

As far as the defense goes, I’ve seen good things, but I haven’t seen as much consistency from them as I have from the offense.

Aaron Lavarias has caught my attention at every scrimmage. Jonah Sataraka seems like a strong and steady rock and Shiloh Keo looks better than ever.

The defense is a bit of a question mark right now, but it’s always a little tough to tell how things are when the two teams just battle each other.

It’s time for game day, if for nothing else, to really see where the Vandals are at.
