Fireworks vendors say business steady

Ashlynn Hoeft, whose family runs the fireworks stand in the Rosauers said she the tough economy and rumors that people may not payout for fun over the weekend were on her mind when they opened June 29.
“With the economy, I was a bit nervous, but people started coming,” she said. (The Fourth) will be our biggest day, so we’ll see how things turn out.”
Dwayne Dehlbom is the type that wouldn’t let a slumped economy break his celebration. The Pullman man paid nearly $200 to put on a show for his friends and family.
“There’s nothing like the smell of powder,” he said, adding that the family favorites are the aerials that light up the night sky. “And I’ve still got all 10 (fingers) after all these years.”
