One killed, another injured in four-wheeler crash

An Onaway woman died Saturday from injuries sustained in a four-wheeler crash near Potlatch.

Ursula A. Hitch, 47, was a passenger on a four-wheeler driving on Trail 15, 1.7 miles north of Gold Greek Road in Potlatch, according to a Latah County Sheriff's Office news release.

The driver, James H. Hitch, 47, also of Onaway, was attempting to negotiate an incline on the trail when the vehicle flipped over backward, according to the release.

Ursula Hitch died at the scene, according to the release, while James Hitch was injured in the crash and was transported to Gritman Medical Center in Moscow.

The crash was reported at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, and sheriff's deputies, the Potlatch Fire Department Quick Response Unit and Moscow emergency-medical personnel responded to the scene.
