UPDATE: Pullman Mayor Glenn Johnson released from hospital

Updated at: 17:04 pm

Pullman Mayor Glenn Johnson has been released from the hospital after being admitted with stroke-like symptoms Sunday.

City Supervisor John Sherman said Johnson, 64, was released from Pullman Regional Hospital late afternoon Monday and is recovering at home.

“Glenn is doing really well,” he said. “But he’s supposed to stay off his cell phone.”

Sherman said Johnson was diagnosed with transient global amnesia, which involved short-term memory loss. He added that doctors believe Johnson’s episode may have been stress related.

Johnson will be away from his mayoral duties for three days. Pullman Mayor Pro Tem Ann Health will preside over Tuesday’s city council meeting.
