Board grants use permit for downtown Moscow day care
April 23, 2008, 9:47 am
The permit allows Small Steps to operate in the space for two years with up to 20 children. There are currently 11 children in the day care.
Some downtown business people spoke against the day care because of parking, safety and other concerns.
Parents will be able to drop their children off in the alley on the building’s east side. Assistant Community Development Director Anne Clapperton said city engineering staff decided there was enough space for a loading area in the alley. The day care also will be able to reserve one parallel parking spot just west of the alley as a loading zone.
