Kellis pleads not guilty to 12 counts

A former Camp Grizzly counselor accused of molesting four teenage boys pleaded not guilty Monday to 10 counts of lewd and lascivious conduct with a child younger than 16 and two counts of sexual abuse of a child younger than 16.
He will face trial for the charges in September.
A Latah County grand jury indicted Timothy Andrew Kellis, 38, on the charges Thursday. Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Michelle Evans said the indictment supercedes two previous cases against Kellis. He was charged April 12 with one count of sexual abuse of a child and two counts of lewd conduct and April 24 with five counts of lewd conduct.
Evans said the grand jury brought forth additional charges in its indictment based on the evidence it heard.
The 12 charges stem from incidents that allegedly occurred during July and August 2007 at Camp Grizzly, a Boy Scout camp near Harvard. Four boys who were counselors in training at the camp allege that Kellis molested them. Three of the boys are now 16 and one is 15.
Jury selection for Kellis' trial is scheduled to begin Sept. 15 in Latah County District Court.
