UI football players suspended indefinitely

"I have been aware since early Sunday morning that there was a situation that required my attention," football coach Robb Akey said. "I, as well as the Moscow Police Department, have investigated the situation and as a result three individuals have been suspended indefinitely from the team.
"We have a code of conduct our student-athletes are expected to follow. When they violate this code, there are consequences."
Moscow Police Lt. Dave Lehmitz said the men were involved in a verbal argument at a party in an apartment on North Polk Extension.
They allegedly punched a man in the face and head while he tried to remove them from the apartment. The man received only minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital.
Police have indicated that more people could be charged.
Williams and Miles play defensive back for the Vandals. Hale is a wide receiver.
